Meet Bailey

Hi! I’m Bailey.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering and my master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Northwestern University. With my background in engineering, I learned to approach complex problems methodically, implement effective solutions, and continuously assess what's working. I bring that same analytical mindset to behavior challenges, combined with compassion, patience, and a deep commitment to ethical training practices.

I owe a lot of my learning about animal behavior in the beginning of my journey to my dog Macklin. Macklin was picked up as a stray, brought into the local shelter, then transferred to a rescue where we eventually met and adopted him. In the height of the pandemic, we were so excited to welcome a dog into our home. Inside, Macklin was cuddly, goofy, and playful. Outside, Macklin struggled with all of the daily happenings of downtown life - people, dogs, and trucks. I was overwhelmed and unsure what to do. After a few mistakes along the way, I was lucky enough to meet some incredible behavior professionals that helped me interpret what Macklin was feeling and understand how I could help him. If you have a reactive dog or a dog struggling with any type of behavior challenge, I understand how overwhelming, scary, frustrating, and tiring it can be.

Since then, I’ve dedicated time to learning more about animal behavior, behavior in sheltering, and more. I am committed to continuing education and implementing solutions that do not use pain or fear to change your pet’s behavior. I am so excited to have the opportunity to work with you and your pet.

  • What People are Saying

Bailey is a person I would highly recommend to work with owners and their dogs. I first met her when she came to me for a behavioral consultation appointment for her dog Macklin.  She is a dedicated owner who worked on both behavior modification and medical aspects for her dog’s behavior.  Excited to see she proceeded to go through education and training for her CPDT-KA certification.  I think she adds an extra value for clients with her past experiences with her dog’s behavior. Great to have a trusted dog trainer with compassion and understanding that I can send clients to for help.
